Christian Education
Ministry
The mission of the Christian Education Department is to
glorify God by educating and equipping all ages of students for the purpose of
transforming hearts, growing in the knowledge of God’s Word, and developing
servant leaders for the kingdom of God. The Christian Education Department strives to help believers grow in the
Lord through purposeful instruction of His Word and by teaching His followers
to study, understand, and apply God’s Word to everyday living.
Areas of ministry include Sunday School for children through adults, all nursery
care, children, and youth ministry (Pioneer Club, Circle of Friends, Passing the
Faith Along, Junior Youth Ministry, VBS/Day Camp,) sports (basketball and
softball,) library, teacher training, small group studies, and educational
supplies. The Shepherd of My Heart Preschool is also overseen by the
Christian Education ministry.
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you,
asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual
wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully
pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the
knowledge of God. -Colossians 1:9-10
